OVERVIEW
This course is designed for licensed electricians, electrical engineers and solar enthusiasts who want to gain skills in the design and installation of grid-connected PV systems.
This course will also provide electrical tradesmen and engineers with the qualifications allowing them to obtain accreditation from the Clean Energy Council (CEC) granting access to incentives offered by the Federal Government for solar panel installations.
This course provides the skills to understand energy audits, design, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain grid-connected photovoltaic systems and the associated equipment.
You will develop technical skills and knowledge that will ensure you are ready for work, including:
– Preparing to work on photovoltaic energy apparatus and systems
– Solving problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus and systems
– Completing work and documenting problem-solving activities
– Preparing to design grid-connected power supply systems
– Developing grid-connected power supply systems design
– Obtaining approval for grid-connected power supply systems design
– Preparing to install photovoltaic power systems
– Installing photovoltaic power systems, and
– Completing and reporting on installation activities.
